Covering 135 miles (217km) non-stop from Death Valley to Mount Whitney, California, the Badwater 135 is the most demanding and extreme running race offered anywhere on the planet, as it takes place at 282 feet (86m) below the sea level. The race has become widely appreciated after Dean Karnazes featured the race in his book: Ultramarathon Man: Confessions of an All Night Runner.
Western States 100-mile Endurance Run: June 27, to Sunday, June 28, 2015.

Starting in Squaw Valley, CA, near the site of the 1960 Winter Olympics and ending 100.2 miles later in Auburn, CA, Western States 100-mile Endurance Run, in the six decades since its inception in the 70s, has become one of the ultimate endurance running events in the world.
South America Running Events 2015
Rio de Janeiro Marathon: July 26, 2015 (Sunday)
Prepare your heart! The Rio de Janeiro Marathon takes place on July 26 this year. This is one of the most iconic running events in Latin America, featuring an incredible course along the most famous places in Rio, Brasil.
Patagonian International Marathon: September 26, 2015 (Saturday)
The race route has breathtaking and magical landscapes. Incredible mountains of ice and granite rise more than 2,600 meters above the race course. Wildlife and multicoloured lakes are abundant, which include guanacos, condors, huemul (South Andean deer), foxes, rhea, and pumas, among many others.

Mustang Trail Race: October 17-30, 2015
Entry fees: about $500
The Mustang Trail race is a multi-stage trail running event through the spiritually rich and wild landscapes of Upper Mustang in Nepal. It comprises 8 stages of around 15 to 30 km, totaling just under 200 km at altitudes between 2,800 – 4,300m (9,500 – 14,100ft) with 8300m (27,300ft) of elevation change.
Tenzing-Hillary Everest Marathon 2015: October 5, 2015
“Probably the most adventurous trail run in the world.” The marathon starts from the Everest Base Camp at about 5300m and finishes almost 2000m below. The course goes over rough, challenging mountain trails and competitors need to acclimatize at least 3 weeks for the race, so they will have to be in Nepal about 18 days before the marathon.
Antarctica Running Events 2015
The 2015 Antarctic Ice Marathon: 18-21 November 2015

Undoubtedly, ‘the world’s coolest 100’, this truly unique ultramarathon is reserved for only the toughest endurance athletes. The 100k (62.1 miles) distance will seem endless, running under a sun that never sets against the backdrop of mountains, large expanses of ice and white hills.

One of the most iconic running events in Africa that you can register for this year takes place in the land of the Pharaohs and pyramids. The idea of this race was first initiated in 1977 by an Egyptologist who discovered a piece of rock telling the story of Pharaonic soldiers running 100 Km in 690-665 B.C, during the reign of King Taharka. The king established the race after an army camp inspection found soldiers in perfect physical shape.
